THE FUCKING WRATH SIGNS TO TEE PEE RECORDS CALIFORNIA D-BEAT DEFENDERS TO ISSUE NEW EP THIS OCTOBER

Ferocious Montalvo, California hardcore crust / metal band THE FUCKING WRATH have signed to NYC’s Tee Pee Records. The merciless quartet, whose sound has been described as “an amalgamation of groups such as Discharge, Black Flag, The Melvins and “Kill 'Em All”-era Metallica”, will release the five song Terra Fire EP on October 19.

Delivering a sound-assault that mixes blistering distortion, nihilistic rage, scorching metallic power and fire-breathing vocals mixed with dangerously high levels of intensity, THE FUCKING WRATH do not mess around. Heavy, dark and fast, the band goes straight for the throat, displaying a killer instinct and that is downright frightening. The band formed in 2005, recorded its first album Season of Evil the week of 06.06.06 and embarked on two nationwide DIY tours alongside everyone from Tragedy to Blue Cheer to High on Fire, gaining an army of enthusiasts with each and every live performance. THE FUCKING WRATH now averages close to 150 shows per year with no sign of slowing down. The band will follow the upcoming Terra Fire EP with a full album of new material in 2011.

The track listing for THE FUCKING WRATH’s Terra Fire EP is as follows:

1.) Low Brow
2.) With the Fangs of GOD
3.) Don’t Look Back
4.) Blank Slate
5.) Hurricane

“a decadent psych-rock whirlpool” – ROLLING STONE

"monstrously mind-bending...Imagine Fun House-era Stooges on a sci-fi (or psilocybin?) kick...the mother lode for those who crave maximum psychedelic overload”
– ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

"from psychedelic stoner rock to a more straightforward arena rock...Too awesome" – SPIN

“The astronauts on the Mir space station are not the only people who've seen space junk. It floats through the mind of Dave Wyndorf, leader of this mind-expansion team, and gives him strange ideas about the magical properties of guitar fuzz boxes. This blissful oddball is part philosopher, part comic-book obsessive, and he leads Monster Magnet into realms both theatrical and silly, but definitely entertaining." – THE NEW YORK TIMES

"In the past, Monster Magnet and their leader, "Diamond" Dave Wyndorf, were always game for good-to-go cartunes best played on the Jersey Turnpike at midnight in August with the top down during a holiday weekend with the thermometer at 90, a bad hangover, and half a case of Pabst to get through. You know, the good life. The collective unconsciousness of Iggy, Paul Stanley, and the Sab emanating from a brain raised on Wacky Packs, Creepymagazine, and the Silver Surfer. In a word: retro. Their sci-fi lyrics completely at odds with their earthbound creationist thud. We need these American doper-rock icons now more than ever, if only to combat some of the more tedious artyfartifications of rock-based forms." – VILLAGE VOICE
